![]() You can have up to 8 stereo outputs from Maschine so you can process 8 separate groups/sounds on 8 Reaper tracks. ![]() Once you get this far there are other steps to enable more outputs. Just follow from above and the click the FX icon in the Reaper channel that Maschine is routed through and chose VST on the left then select the effect you want to use. Only you would add the effect as an insert on the channel in reaper that is receiving audio from Maschine. If you do need your play button then the setup is the same setup as above. This video demo's how to use the open source program Synchronous Audio Router and an ASIO SUPPORTED DAW or ASIO VST HOST to create your own virtual audio cab. If you don't need Maschines play button and tap tempo then don't use Rearoute. Then, choose CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) as the Playback through this device and select Apply. Check the box for 'Listen to this Device'. Next, click on 'Additional Device Properties'. This ReaRoute thing with Maschine standalone is a workaround for that. Go to your System > Sound options and select 'Device Properties' for your microphone. In the other software/game set the virtual cable as microphone input and your regular sound card as output. When you use the Maschine VSTi plug-in you have to use your DAW's transport. In Reaper, set your mic as input and the virtual cable as output. ![]() The whole purpose of using the stand alone version of Maschine with ReaRoute is to have transport controls for Maschine. It sounds like you want to Route audio output from Maschine into Reaper and process the audio with VST effects. Furthermore, using the effect rack, you can route all audio through a set of audio effects. I mentioned because I want to be clear what you mean. With Virtual Audio Stream you can route the output signal of any application to be the input signal of any other application. Highlight the appropriate cable and change the values to match the figure above. You will need to create two cables by changing the driver parameters to 2 cables then click SET and Restart. By default only one audio cable is defined. ![]() VSTi is for VST instruments like synthisizers or Maschine. Once installed, set up a pair of VAC audio 'cables' for use with PowerSDR by opening the VAC Control Panel.
